Canh Chua Ca

The Canh Chua Ca is a new take on the traditional broth meal, displaying the fresh garden produce utilized in Southern Vietnamese cuisine. This is a sweeter fish soup using ingredients like pineapple, tomatoes, bean sprouts, and tamarind to flavor it. The dish is finished with golden fried garlic, which is both a visual and a gustatory delight.

Banh Mi

If you enjoy sandwiches, you should give this dish a try. This sandwich is made using baguette-like bread filled with mixed ground pork, cilantro, and some good old vegetables, with a nod to the French-Chinese ancestry. It's a hearty feast for everyone, thanks to the contrast of crisp vegetables and luscious pork, and it's a staple of Vietnamese cuisine.

Banh Xao

Goi Cuon

The spring rolls of Vietnam, or Goi Cuon, are boiled packets of goodness stuffed with greens, pork or seafood, and coriander, in contrast to their Indian counterparts, which are deep-fried. This dish is light and refreshing, and it makes a perfect evening snack. This delectable Vietnamese cuisine comes in a variety of regional versions across the country.

Bot Chien

Bot Chien is another delectable snack made from rice flour dough and eggs, and eaten with papayas, shallots, and spring onions. It is a famous street food dish that can be found in most sections of the country, and is most typically associated with a Southern Vietnamese snack.

Potato Cakes
